50 God's Christmas Message: Prepare for Great News

We are in full swing to that time of Christmas celebrations. Our series titled Hark the Herald: God's Christmas Message and this week, the message is "Prepare for Great News." We see from the Gospel of Luke the great news and tiding of joy that were brought to all men.  Are we ready for some great news from God? Are we prepared to face the challenges of change that come with great news?  Or will we make excuses out of fear?

We are entering that time of Christmas celebrations and beginning a new series titled Hark the Herald: God's Christmas Message. On this second week, the message is "Prepare Our Faith to be Tested." We see in the Bible, that Zacharias, despite being faithful and fulfilling his call, experienced a test to his faith. Even in a time of miracles, our faith can undergo a time of testing. As we prepare for Christmas and the New Year, we must be prepared for such a time of testing to our faith.

We believe this is a time to prepare for the coming new year as well as to be a people ready for the coming of the Lord. 47 Mark 15 & 16: The Finale

In the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. As we conclude this series with "The Finale," we see the ultimate involvement: that Jesus Christ's involvement lead to the cross and a resurrection. And that involvement did not stop with that event. He continues to work in and through our lives. Will we be changed by this? We will now be involved in His work?

46 Mark 14: Are You Awake or Sleeping?

Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. So, are you sleeping or awake? Not physically, but spiritually.  What does this mean? What does this look like? In Mark chapter 14, we will see Jesus demonstrate His teachings as well as see how these questions impact our lives as to whether we are spiritually sleeping or awake.

Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. Today, we examine Mark chapter 13 and Jesus' words about the end. When will it happen? What are the signs? What's our involvement? And, why should we watch?

Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. In Mark 12, we will deal with issues of the heart. What is our motivation for being Christian? Are we in it for ourselves? For what we can get out of it? Or are we believers because of Him? Our heart not only determines our actions, but also our destiny.

43 Mark 11: Have Faith in God

Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. For us, this means, "do we have faith in God or a religious system?" Is our heart a "house of prayer" or a "den of thieves?" Jesus will curse religion to never bear fruit. In a season of darkness, we must make a decision; to have faith in God and overcome this religious spirit or succumb to it and carry the fate of never having fruit for the sake of looking good.

42 Mark 10:Breaking Bondages

Throughout our time in the Gospel of Mark, we have been focusing on our involvement in the Kingdom of God. Today. we will see how to break bondages in our. Specifically, we will also see how a religious spirit prevents us from seeking or obtaining this freedom that Jesus seeks to give us.
